Construction of the British Arena is well underway in Sunderland. The 15,00 sq.ft venue will be equipped with a 200 seat main stage arena, boasting a 17m LED screen, full 5g capacity, broadcast, content and editing studios, performance rooms and an expansive 550 sq.m outdoor activation space. Built as a multi use venue it will also be host to live entertainment events and has a retail and social space in addition to hosting global-reaching Esports events
With the inaugural event being the finals of the International Defence Esports Games taking place in October of this year. IDEG26 is an esports tournament for military personnel with more then 40 countries competing.
